I have been developing projects for the past twelve years in cultural management as an artistic and academic coordinator, general manager and executive director, as well as participating in the editorial sector as editor-in-chief, book reviews editor, content manager, content curator and blogger.
I also have experience in creating workshops, designing and conducting educational and cultural programs. I have worked for universities (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, University of California, Davis and Franklin & Marshall College) and non-profit organizations (the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá–MAMBO, the Asociación Red Nacional de Estudiantes de Literatura y Afines –RedNEL Colombia, and the International House, Davis).
I have gained experience in public relations, marketing, fundraising and budgeting. I have scheduled and supervised cultural agendas and academic activities in a very broad spectrum of events (e.g.: literary workshops, colloquiums and interdisciplinary symposiums, local and national academic conferences, literary contests, research groups activities, talks with authors and specialist keynote speakers and book presentations). I have a strong commitment to leadership and innovation, and to contribute to the intellectual and cultural life in the communities to which I belong. My goal is to inspire the same passionate inquiry into literature and culture in my students and colleagues that I bring to my own research and personal projects.
